Community Connection


Bursary


The Seacoast Trail Arts Association bursary will be given to a graduating student at Duncan MacMillan High School who will be pursuing a career in Fine or Applied Arts. The following institutions/programs may be considered for this bursary:

-          a fine arts degree from a university –eg. NASCAD, Mount Allison University etc., or a Bachelor of Applied Arts (BAA) from the NBCCD in partnership with the University of New Brunswick

-          a degree in Fashion Design or Interior Design from a university

-          a Diploma in Fine Craft, or Diploma in Applied Design or a Foundation Visual Arts Certificate  from the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design or other such institutions

-          a diploma from a Community College in the following programs:

-          Animation and Graphics

-          Drafting – Architectural

-          Drafting - Mechanical

-          Digital Animation

-          Electronic Game – Design

-          Electronic Game – 3D Graphics

-          Fashion Design

-          Graphic and Print Production

-          Graphic Arts Production

-          Graphic Design

-          Interactive and Motion Graphics

-          Interior Design

-          Journalism

-          Media Studies

-          Photography

-          Screen Arts

-          Writing for Publication

 

In the case of there not being a student pursuing one of the above-listed programs, the following criteria may be considered in qualifying potential candidates (with same requirements as to Degree, Diploma or Accreditation):

 

The relevant Arts disciplines include visual arts, media arts, literary arts, music, performance, theatre, dance, film, audio works, craft, design, and architecture.

 

The Seacoast Trail Arts Association maintains the right to approve the choice of recipient for the Bursary.
