Ken Vaughan

Ken Vaughan is a painter and owner of The Clipper Gallery (http://www.clippergallery.ca), a contemporary fine arts gallery that displays the work of visual artists, photographers and artisans from Nova Scotia, with an emphasis on the Eastern Shore.


Ken was born in Pictou County, Nova Scotia, in 1953. He began painting after receiving an art award (a wooden box of oil paints) in Grade 7.


He spent most of his career as a public librarian in Regina before retiring and moving back to Nova Scotia in 2010. Ken also attended the Alberta College of Art in Calgary and the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in Halifax. He currently lives in East Petpeswick, a few minutes from beautiful Martinique Beach Provincial Park.
